Travis Allen new Chief Executive Officer of Loudoun Credit Union

LEESBURG, VA (February 7, 2018) — After an extensive national search, the Board of Directors of Loudoun Credit Union is pleased to announce the new hiring of Mr. Travis Allen as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective February 22, 2018.

Allen replaces former CEO Darrin Myers, who left the post in November 2017 to be closer to family.

Cindy Mester, Board of Directors, Chair noted that “Mr. Allen brings to LCU a wealth of experience and work with larger credit unions, but what makes him the best candidate for us is his alignment with Loudoun Credit Union’s values, vision and passion for serving our members who serve our community.”

Bringing 18+ years of financial services experience, Allen most recently served as Regional Branch Manager at East Idaho Credit Union in Idaho Falls, ID. Allen noted upon accepting the position, “It is an honor to join the LCU team, where we can make a profound and positive impact on the lives of not just our members but all those who live in
Loudoun County.” Allen also states, “I am a staunch advocate of giving back and making our corner of the world a better place. Since credit unions are member-owned, it affords us the opportunity to truly make a difference in people’s lives. It is neighbor helping neighbor, a symbiotic relationship where individuals, communities and the credit union can all come together and strengthen one another.”

Allen holds a BA in Business Finance, as well as graduated with honors from the Credit Union National Association’s Management School. He and his family will relocate to northern, Virginia from Idaho and look forward to becoming part of the community.
