Tropical Financial welcomes new Marketing Manager, Kara Yaquinta

Financial service professional returns to credit union in new role

MIRAMAR, FL (March 28, 2022) — Tropical Financial Credit Union announced that Kara Yaquinta has joined the credit union’s marketing department as its new Marketing Manager. She is responsible for supporting Tropical Financial’s digital growth, working closely to educate teams on how to use various marketing platforms and helping to optimize and expand automation efforts throughout the organization to enhance the overall member experience.

Yaquinta is very familiar with the team at TFCU, having worked there for more than four years prior to leaving this past fall for an opportunity at a credit union closer to her hometown in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. At PSECU, she was a marketing automation specialist.

“I am looking forward to returning to Tropical and continuing our work to provide the best member experience,” said Yaquinta. “In my short time away, I realized how much I missed the culture and community that TFCU provides.”

Yaquinta was previously Tropical Financial’s Digital Growth Strategist and immediately before that served as Digital Content/Social Media Strategist. She managed the award-winning Get Beyond Money campaign started in 2019 to offer people judgment free advice on managing their personal finances and previously hosted a podcast to help get the word out. She was also named a Credit Union Rock Star in 2021 by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA).

“We are thrilled to have Kara return to her TFCU home. Kara has proven herself an exceptional leader for Tropical Financial and in the credit union marketing world,” said Amy McGraw, Vice President of Marketing/Chief Experience Officer. “We look forward to her picking up where she left off and taking the credit union forward through digital growth and personalized experiences.”
