D’Annunzio is a Certified Public Accountant with over two decades of accounting and financial management experience. At Truliant, D’Annunzio will serve on the Chief Planning Team and provide financial and accounting leadership to the organization as it implements its mission to improve the lives of its member owners.

He has served as chief financial officer with two federal credit unions, including South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union and Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union in South Carolina. Previous professional positions include Marriot International Corporation.

“Driving Truliant’s unique mission to improve member lives takes a team of talented, experienced and committed leaders. David clearly fits the bill as his broad experience and commitment to the credit union mission and philosophy indicate,” said Marc Schaefer, president and CEO of Truliant.

“As we adjust to the positive reception to our unique member-driven approach to financial services and the accompanying growth in our markets, it’s gratifying to have David in position to aid in managing that success,” he added.

Additionally, D’Annunzio remains active in the credit union movement and is a member of the executive committee of the Credit Union National Association’s Chief Financial Officer Council, serving previously as Chair. He is also a former president of the Charleston Chapter of the South Carolina Credit Union League.

D’Annunzio attended the University of Richmond, Robins School of Business. He and wife Tracy have three children and he enjoys soccer, racing and project cars.

He succeeds Carl Alcon, who retired in May with more than three decades of service to Truliant.
