Truliant names Smith Director of Infrastructure Services

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (July 20, 2018) — Truliant Federal Credit Union has named Crystal Smith to the role of Director of Infrastructure Services.

Smith will be responsible for the effective build, rollout and operation of Truliant’s enterprise technology infrastructure. In her new role, Smith will plan, coordinate, and direct IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the Infrastructure Services & Service desk teams.

“Crystal has a broad understanding of our systems and a proven track record of high performance and strong leadership in implementing enterprise systems that benefit our members,” said Sandeep Uthra, Chief Information Officer. “Her expertise will be invaluable to enhancing our foundational systems as we develop technology solutions that best meet the needs of our members.”

Smith joined Truliant in January 2000 as a teller in the former Frontis Plaza Truliant headquarters branch, becoming a Help Desk Support Specialist in February 2001. Promoted to Network Administrator in September 2004, she then moved on to the position of Network Administrator Supervisor in 2006.

Serving as Infrastructure Services Team Manager since October 2014, Smith has supervised the design, build and management of Truliant’s hardware and software, networks, and data centers. In January 2018, she took on the additional responsibility of managing the Truliant Help Desk team.
