TruService Community Federal Credit Union launches family financial literacy partnership with My First Nest Egg

Little Rock, AR (March 13, 2026) |

TruService Community Federal Credit Union announced a new partnership with My First Nest Egg, a family-first financial literacy program designed to help children build strong money habits early. The collaboration expands TruService’s long-standing commitment to strengthening Arkansas communities by providing free, age-appropriate tools that make financial learning simple—at home, in classrooms, and throughout the communities it serves.

Rooted in the belief that strong financial foundations begin in childhood, TruService is introducing a fully branded, co-hosted version of the My First Nest Egg platform for its members. Families will gain access to engaging challenges, chore and allowance tools, real-world goal-setting activities, and classroom-ready lessons designed to help parents and educators bring conversations about saving, spending, earning, and giving to life in ways that are practical, consistent, and fun.

“We are proud to bring My First Nest Egg’s youth financial literacy program to the families we serve,” said Allie Gonzales, who leads Community and Business Development at TruService Community Federal Credit Union. “As Arkansas’s first established credit union, we have always believed that strong communities are built on strong financial foundations. When children begin learning healthy money habits early, it naturally strengthens the entire family, sparking important conversations at home and building confidence that lasts a lifetime. By investing in our youth, we are investing in the long-term financial well-being of future generations.”

Founded as Arkansas’s first credit union, TruService has a long-standing tradition of strengthening communities through accessible financial solutions, responsible lending, and local decision-making. The credit union remains focused on ensuring that its members and businesses have the tools they need to succeed at every stage of life. This new partnership reinforces that mission by extending financial education into the homes and classrooms of the next generation.

Co-founded by two mothers and former attorneys, Nicolle Hood and Annie Shoen, My First Nest Egg was created to address the shortage of engaging, age-appropriate ways to teach children about money. The program transforms complex financial concepts into bite-sized, psychology-backed learning experiences designed for children ages 3–13.

“At My First Nest Egg, we believe financial education works best when it’s woven into everyday life — at the kitchen table, in classrooms, and in the community,” said Nicolle Hood, Co-Founder & CEO of My First Nest Egg. “TruService’s deep community roots and historic commitment to accessible financial solutions make this partnership especially meaningful. Together, we’re equipping Arkansas families with joyful, practical tools that help children build confidence and lifelong financial habits.”
