Two Credit Unions Join Northwest Ohio Credit Union Business Lending Team

TOLEDO, OH (June 5, 2013) Cooperative Business Services (CBS) is pleased to announce that Fremont Federal Credit Union and Clyde-Findlay Area Credit Union have joined forces with Cooperative Business Services’ business loan origination platform, expanding its business lending footprint in the Northwest Ohio market.

This alliance now includes eight Northwest Ohio credit unions that are dedicated to improving local economies by providing affordable business financing to small business owners.  Together, these credit unions and John Skeldon, Vice President of Business Development for CBS, have closed and funded over $31 million in small business loans in the area.

Skeldon stated, “We are proud to bring these credit unions on board. With the recent business growth in our market, the addition of these two credit unions to our sales platform will allow CBS to further increase awareness of credit unions as a financing alternative for small business owners.”

The credit unions involved in this business development arrangement are: Directions Credit Union, Glass City Federal Credit Union, Sun Federal Credit Union, Southeast Financial Credit Union, Midwest Community Federal Credit Union, Millstream Area Credit Union, and now Fremont Federal Credit Union and Clyde-Findlay Area Credit Union.
