ORONO, ME (June 15, 2018) — University Credit Union, Maine’s only full-service financial institution chartered to serve University of Maine System students, employees, alumni and their families, has appointed Eric Byther as Facilities Manager for its nine statewide retail locations, including three on-campus branches, and its loan operations center.

Byther joins UCU with more than 30 years of experience in commercial and residential construction, the majority of those years spent as a business owner.

Byther will also continue UCU’s ongoing branch renovations, starting with two upcoming renovations to the branch facilities at Rangeley Road in Orono and Union Street in Bangor.

“We are thrilled to welcome Eric to UCU,” said Matthew Walsh, President/CEO of UCU. “His expertise will be critical to our renovation projects, and most importantly for ensuring uninterrupted service at all our locations.”

A resident of Old Town, Byther has served on local municipal planning and appeals boards and is a graduate of Eastern Maine Technical College.
