UFCU donates to Paws of Hope during June’s United Federal Fridays we Adore: Pets

As United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) wraps up its June community initiative, United Federal Fridays, we are pleased to share that the June 22 We Adore: Pets event resulted in a $1000 donation to Paws of Hope.

During the 24-hour promotion to support local animals in need, 10 percent of all pet food purchases at Paw Mart in St. Joseph was matched by UFCU and given to Paws of Hope, an all-volunteer animal rescue group dedicated to aiding and facilitating animal adoption.

On July 5 UFCU presented a check to Paws of Hope at the organization's monthly volunteer meeting. This donation will help Paws of Hope in their mission to make happy adoption connections on behalf of animals in need across the Berrien County community.

“Supporting organizations like Paws of Hope is one of our favorite ways to give back to the community in which we serve,” says St. Joseph branch manager Jodie Kitchell, who presented the check to Paws of Hope. “Pets are an adored part of the community, and we at UFCU are proud to be able to support an organization like this and help find homes for these vulnerable animals.”
