United Federal Credit Union virtually celebrates opening of new Hendersonville South branch
ST. JOSEPH, MI (April 28, 2020) — United Federal Credit Union (United) virtually celebrated the opening of its Hendersonville South branch on Monday, April 27. The branch, located at 203 Greenville Highway at the Fresh Market Shopping Center, was added to United’s North Carolina locations in an effort to provide greater convenience and service to members in Henderson County, and to create a welcoming place for the community to learn how United can help them with personalized financial solutions.
The original celebration was postponed in order to observe social distancing guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control during the Coronavirus pandemic. Even though the branch lobby will stay closed until it is safe to open, United continues to offer drive-thru and ATM services at all branches, as well as remote options like Online and Mobile Banking.
“In times of uncertainty, United is proud to be a source of stability in the community,” said Beason. “We hope to be a bright spot for those looking for good news during the pandemic. As a credit union we believe in the ‘people helping people’ motto, and that’s what we intend to do during and after this national emergency.”
Todd Sharpe will lead the Hendersonville South branch as Branch Manager. As branch manager, Sharpe is responsible for maintaining the performance of the branch, and providing leadership and supervision to staff. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including serving as a financial services representative, personal banker, and branch manager at banks and credit unions in North Carolina. Sharpe has been with United Federal Credit Union since 2016.

United began construction and remodelling of the new Hendersonville South branch in February, which was led by Carolina Specialties. It is a full-service branch with personal and business banking services including loans, mortgages, investment services.
United has five branches in North Carolina, serving members in Asheville, Fletcher, Hendersonville, and Statesville.
