UnitedOne named a Top Workplace for Women

Manitowoc, WI (October 8, 2025) |

UnitedOne Credit Union has been named No. 17 nationally for medium-sized organizations in the “Best Places to Work for Women” by Best Companies Group.

“We’re honored to be recognized as a workplace where women are empowered to grow and lead,” UnitedOne CEO Kim Rooney said. “This reflects the values we’ve nurtured where inclusion, opportunity, and respect are woven into our culture. The women of UnitedOne continue to inspire excellence, helping us serve our members with purpose and heart.”

The No. 17 ranking in the medium division for “Best Places to Work for Women” comes on the heels of UnitedOne being named No. 2 nationally in “Best Credit Unions to Work For” by American Banker earlier this year.

UnitedOne is a not-for-profit financial institution founded more than 85 years ago with a vision and mission of improving the communities it serves. It invests locally through volunteerism, financial education and support, and collaboration with groups and organizations with shared commitment to the betterment of the communities it serves. UnitedOne has more than 90 employees.

UnitedOne’s strong community ties, competitive pay, and progressive benefits, including pet bereavement and grandparent bonding leave, create an initial appeal for many job seekers. Its inclusive onboarding program, flexible scheduling, remote options, and personalized support lay the foundation for new employee satisfaction. Meanwhile, continuing education and shadowing opportunities for vertical movement and field specialization move the needle from job to career.
