Unitus opens new branch in Multnomah Village

PORTLAND, OR (February 2, 2018) — Unitus Community Credit Union today opened a new branch in Multnomah Village.

Located at 7717 SW Capitol Hwy, this marks Unitus’ tenth branch serving members throughout Portland Metro, Salem and SW Washington. Following today’s opening, Unitus leadership, branch staff, members, and guests will celebrate with a ribbon cutting during their Grand Opening March 14.

“Unitus is excited to serve members and businesses in a neighborhood as historic as Multnomah Village,” said Unitus CEO Steven Stapp. “Our reception leading up to the opening has been warm and inviting, and we are thrilled to build connections in a place with such a strong, established sense of community.”

As with all Unitus branches, staff will comprise Member Advocates, relationship-oriented employees trained to serve members with almost any financial need they may have. The branch will provide a full range of financial services, including checking, savings and retirement accounts; auto, business, equity and home loans; full-service deposit-taking ATMs, and personal financial assistance. Members are invited to visit the branch during business hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Unitus is launching a neighborhood initiative around the branch opening. “To celebrate the opening,” said Laurie Kresl, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Unitus, “we’ve partnered with more than 30 local businesses to give out gift cards during our Grand Opening event March 14. You improve your chance of winning a gift card – or the $1,000 grand prize – by finding ‘lucky clovers’ at local participating businesses. Part scavenger hunt, part self-guided adventure, it’s our way of showing the people of Multnomah Village that we are committed to a creative, rewarding approach to finances and the support of local business.”
