UW Credit Union earns Halogen’s Bright Bottom Line Award

MADISON, WI (October 18, 2013) — UW Credit Union has received Halogen’s Bright Bottom Line Award for its successful use of Halogen’s eAppraisal and eCompensation software. The award was presented to UW Credit Union at Halogen’s Customer Conference in Henderson, Nevada, on Sept. 23.

“We understand that employees have a large impact on member satisfaction,” said Lee Wiersma, Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer of UW Credit Union. “With Halogen, managers can spend more time building stronger relationships with employees and coaching them to work toward solutions that make members’ financial lives easier.”

Prior to the implementation of Halogen software in 2008, the company used spreadsheet-based performance management systems. Since Halogen’s implementation, the credit union has experienced:
–Improved employee engagement scores every year for the past five years
–A reduction in HR time to manage employee appraisals from 120 to 20 hours per year
–A 60 percent decrease in administrative time spent on employee evaluations by managers
–A 100 percent completion rate for their appraisal process

The Halogen software creates a straightforward and transparent appraisal and compensation process, and better aligns individual goals with overall organizational goals. “UW Credit Union is proud to create a work environment in which employees can perform to the best of their abilities,” said Wiersma. “The use of Halogen helps us better achieve our mission of putting members’ best interests first.”
