FRENDALE, MI (October 9, 2013) -- As part of their ongoing support for Children's Miracle Network (CMN) through Beaumont Children's Hospital, Credit Union ONE participated in the Torch Relay for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals on Saturday, October 9, 2013.
The Torch Relay makes 17 stops over the course of one month working their way across the country and ending up in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. At every stop a walk and/or a run takes place with all donations going directly to the CMN Hospital that is represented at that location.
For the second year, Credit Union ONE had the opportunity to participate as a Market Sponsor in the Detroit Riverfront Walk along with approximately 500 walkers from various organizations.
Said Swami Seetharaman, S.V.P. and Chief Marketing Officer, "We are proud to work with such a fine organization as the Beaumont Children's Hospital, and appreciative of the opportunity to support the efforts of the Children's Miracle Network to make miracles a reality."
Established in 2002, the Torch Relay for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is an all-volunteer organization and has raised more than $9 million for children's hospitals nationwide.
