(August 20, 2013) — Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU), based in North Chicago, IL, opened new branches in Naperville and Bolingbrook through a merger with Hawthorne Credit Union (HCU). GLCU has a strong commitment to members and the communities it serves throughout the suburbs of Chicago.

These two new branches welcome the public to stop-in and see the wide variety of financial products and services that GLCU offers. Vikki Kaiser, President/CEO of Great Lakes Credit Union, said “GLCU provides our members with the best financial services possible.  We offer an extensive range of products at an increased level of service.” Ms. Kaiser also commented that “GLCU has always had a strong member focus and vision for the future to help our membership grow financially. Great Lakes Credit Union has served the Chicagoland area for over 75 years. Currently GLCU has assets of $627 million and serves over 53,000 members in Lake, McHenry, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Will and parts of Cook Counties in Illinois, plus Kenosha County Wisconsin.
