Wescom Resources Group launches Tellergy software at CUNA Technology Council Conference and wins Best of Show

WRG’s new automation software TellergySM uses today’s tablets to support member ID, signature capture/archival, product marketing, and eReceipt delivery to members interacting with tellers.

PASADENA, CA (October 2, 2013) — Adding increased value and coolness to its already robust financial services offering, Wescom Resources Group (WRG), a provider of software and technology service solutions for credit unions, launched its MemberEdge TellergySM tablet software at CUNA Technology Council Conference last week and promptly garnered the “Best of Show” award. WRG’s Tellergy is an automation software that uses standard Apple or Windows tablets to support member identification, signature capture and archival, product marketing, and eReceipt delivery to members interacting with tellers or member service representatives in the branch.

“The innovation here is that we are bringing retail and mobile technology to credit union branches, which provides multiple functions in a simplistic format,” states WRG President Tim Dolan. “We have streamlined several processes for the member, combined with a very elegant way to promote products and grow our member engagement. It’s time we utilize new technology in our branches like Tellergy to create a stronger, more meaningful connection with members.”

Using Tellergy, credit unions can identify their members, deliver electronic receipts, market their offers, update member information, and capture and store their signatures all at the teller line. This comprehensive automation helps improve security, reduces operating costs, improve marketing campaign acceptance, and enhances the credit union’s brand – all in a single device.

Dolan knew tablet devices, if usable at the teller line, could provide several advantages. With Tellergy, tablets have become suitable replacements for the third-party signature pads to capture signatures effectively.  They also accept card swipes, display full receipts, prompt for eReceipts, and allow members to input their identifying information without having to speak out their account number.  Future product enhancements will allow for additional services like eStatement opt-ins and other cost-cutting measures.   The initial deployment using iPad Mini’s has been live at Wescom Credit Union since mid-July.  The Windows tablet version is pending release in the coming months.

“We see this as a gift that will keep on giving,” adds Dolan.  “It started with replacing single-purpose devices with one device that supports multiple functions.  By using the iPad and Windows tablet devices, we’re making a quantum leap with platforms that lend themselves to continued innovation.  Ultimately, we expect that Tellergy will support many more features, all aimed at enhancing the member experience.”
