4 ways to save on last-minute flights

When traveling, it’s generally a good idea to book your tickets as far in advance as possible. But sometimes, you don’t have that luxury. If you’re trying to get from point A to point B at the last minute, here are four ways you can save…

Use the power of Google: Google does just about everything. Who knew they could find cheap airfare? If you’re looking for the cheapest possible flight on short notice, look no further than Google Flights. It’s pretty cool. You should try it as soon as you get done reading this article.

Don’t be picky: You may not enjoy getting to the airport at 6am, but if you want to save a bundle on a last-minute flight, you can’t really afford to be picky. Like literally. You literally can’t afford to be picky.

Keep everything in perspective: A last minute-flight is probably out of your control. If you’re traveling for a reason such as a death in the family, there’s really not much you can do about it. Make sure you realize that it’s probably going to be a little expensive. If you’re able to wait an extra day or two, you could definitely save a little bit of cash though, so keep that in mind.

Don’t fly: You may not enjoy the idea of a long drive but if you can do it in half a day or so, you’ll probably save a ton, even factoring in gas and food stops.
