4 ways you’re being your own worst enemy

Sometimes, it feels like everyone is against you. Other times, you’ve only got yourself to blame. Here are four ways you might be becoming your own worst enemy…

You don’t know what you want: Nobody knows you better than you, and if you’re not taking the time to figure out exactly what you want, you’ll never get anywhere. Maybe you’re great at your job, but have you stopped to think about whether or not that’s what you really want to be doing?

You’re following someone else’s plan: Everyone says you have to go to college, get a job, get married, buy a house, have kids, etc. Maybe it hasn’t worked out exactly that way so far. Who cares? Don’t live in a dream world. Live in your present, no matter what that looks like.

You’ve surrounded yourself with bad apples: If there are people in your life who are bringing you down, it’s time to be rid of them. Or at least, stop listening to them. Anyone who isn’t pumping positivity into your life, is going to be a burden.

You need a break: Get some extra sleep and know your limits. We all need a vacation every now and then.
