5 awesome side hustles that could turn extra money into a new career

We could all use some extra pocket money or another source to save. I know what you’re thinking, “You’ve already told us about Uber.” Well that’s true, but this time I’m thinking about some awesome side hustles that might not only be cool, but also exciting. Here are 5 awesome side hustles that could turn into more than just extra dough.

Podcasting

By now, I feel like we all listen to podcasts. At least one podcast. Okay, so not all of us listen to podcasts. I am a huge fan. Comedy, crime, mystery, movies, and pop culture are just some of the different kinds of podcasts I enjoy. There are TONS of podcasts out there on all different kinds of subjects. If there’s something you’re passionate about that you enjoy talking about, you could definitely make it into a podcast. Gather some friends and something to record with and you could be on your way to making money podcasting. Need some more information? Check this out.

Beer

I enjoy beer and I bet there’s a chance you do too. I’ve drank a few homebrews before and I’ll be honest, I haven’t had too many that knock my socks off. But if you have a passion for craft beer, brewing your own is a fun hobby that could become a lot more than that, depending on how good your product is.

Tour Guide

If you live in a fun city or town that attracts a lot of visitors, you could have a great time showing people the best your city has to offer. Showing the best restaurants, bars, and sights that your city has to offer could be a fun way to make some money and show-off what makes your town awesome.

Flip something

Don’t feel like you have the time or energy to get into real estate? You have other options. Start small and try flipping a car. If you can find a good deal on a used vehicle and then sell it for a few hundred bucks more, you can make a little money and get some experience that could help you make even more cash on the next deal.

Work an EasyShift

If you’ve never heard of EasyShift, you should definitely check it out. EasyShift is an app that makes it super simple for you to “get paid to shop, eat, and explore in your city.” It’s available in almost all U.S. cities, and pays you to “take photos of products, check prices, and review promotions.” There’s no experience necessary and no application to fill out. Sounds like an easy shift to me.
