Medford, OR (April 18, 2025) |
Rogue Credit Union announced strong financial results for the first quarter of 2025, with steady growth in key categories. Total assets grew at an annualized rate of 11.67% with $3.72 billion in assets, and the credit union experienced a return on assets of 0.95%. The credit union also continues to grow its membership base, now serving more than 212,000 members throughout southern Oregon and western Idaho.

Rogue Credit Union’s equity position remains strong as the credit union closed the quarter with a 9.68% net worth ratio, well above the “well-capitalized” regulatory requirement of 7.00%. Rogue remains a trusted financial institution that is safe, sound and secure.
In addition to its strong financial performance, Rogue received recognition for its exceptional workplace culture at the start of the year. Oregon Business recognized Rogue Credit Union as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon, ranking the credit union fifteenth in the Large Business category.
Rogue’s commitment to the community was also a focus during the credit union’s first quarter of 2025, with new and returning events marking an exciting start to the year. The credit union participated in the Polar Plunge again this year, raising $1,390 for local athletes through Special Olympics Oregon. Other milestones included the fifteen-year anniversary of the credit union’s Teacher of the Week program, made possible by partner radio station KOOL 103.5 Medford, and a Rogue Rangers Appreciation event that provided free ice skating for 190 local children. The Rogue Rangers Kids Club teaches the credit union’s youngest members—children 12 and under—about healthy financial habits through activities and events.
The credit union also completed its volunteer service with the IRS’ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program near the end of the quarter. Offered in partnership with Jackson County United Way and the Teresa McCormick Center, the program provides free tax help for local community members. This year, the team prepared over 740 tax returns, securing over $1 million in net refunds from the local community.
Rogue also continued progress on the construction of its new Caldwell Branch in the first quarter of the year. The new branch is expected to open this spring and will be located at 5213 Cleveland Blvd, Caldwell, ID 83607. Updates on the Caldwell Branch can be found at roguecu.org/caldwell.
In addition to its Idaho expansion, Rogue also announced its intent to merge with Members 1st Credit Union. Members 1st is a safe, sound and secure credit union based in northern California. They currently serve approximately 23,000 members with branches in Redding, Chico and Anderson, California. Rogue Credit Union looks forward to continued progress throughout 2025 and is excited to announce its strong first quarter of the year.
