Capital Credit Union opens 2026 scholarship applications

GREEN BAY, WI (January 6, 2026) |

Capital Credit Union is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Tom Young Educational Scholarship. This year, we will proudly award $2,000 scholarships to 10 outstanding high school seniors who are members of Capital Credit Union and are pursuing higher education in the fall of 2026.

At Capital Credit Union, we know that the future of our communities depends on empowering and supporting the next generation. That’s why this scholarship program goes beyond academics—it’s about recognizing students who embody our mission of “Doing the Right Thing” through their dedication to academic achievement, community service, and volunteering.

“We know the importance of opening the doors to higher education.”, said Laurie Butz, President and CEO of Capital Credit Union. “With the Capital Credit Union Tom Young Educational Scholarship, we aren't just helping to fund degrees; we are investing in futures and uplifting the youth of our communities as they dream big. By working together with care and providing greater access, we help inspire financial well-being for all and build a brighter, more connected future for our communities."

The application period is open now through March 6, 2026. High school seniors who are primary members of Capital Credit Union, have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.5, and plan to enroll in a 2-year or 4-year degree program in the fall of 2026 are encouraged to apply.
