American Heritage Credit Union (“American Heritage”) has been named one of America’s Best-in-State Credit Unions by Forbes for 2026 in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This is the fourth year in a row that American Heritage has been named to Forbes’ America’s Best-in-State Credit Unions list for Pennsylvania, and the first year that American Heritage has been recognized on the list for New Jersey.
Forbes’ list recognizes credit unions that “excelled in meeting the unique needs and expectations of their local communities.” American Heritage is one of 246 credit unions nationwide to be recognized. Forbes created this list through a partnership with Statista.
To complete the study, Statista conducted an independent survey, assessing 26,000 U.S. residents about their experiences and overall sentiments with their financial institution(s). Factors that carry weight in the survey include trustworthiness, customer service, the quality of financial guidance and advice, and use of digital tools. Statista also compiled more than 1.2 million publicly available reviews and ratings from February 2023 through March 2026 when creating their rankings. The surveys carry 80% of the weight in the rankings, while the reviews and ratings account for the remaining 20%. This is the ninth year that Forbes has partnered with Statista to create this list.
