Summit Credit Union moves Hill Farms branch to Shorewood Shopping Center

Summit Credit Union opened a new branch in the Shorewood Shopping Center, 3258 University Ave., on Jan. 2. The branch replaces the Hill Farms branch in the Department of Transportation building.

Lindsay Smith, branch manager at the Hill Farms branch, and a staff of eight, including a mortgage loan officer and financial advisor, will move to the new location.

The redevelopment of the State of Wisconsin’s Hill Farms office complex required moving Summit’s branch from the Department of Transportation building.

Kim Sponem, CEO & president of Summit Credit Union, said, “We have been serving the financial needs of State of Wisconsin employees since the 1930s. We are disappointed that we will not be moving into the new Hill Farms building, however, we did select a great location at the Shorewood Shopping Center that we believe will be convenient for our current and future members who live, work or commute along the busy University Avenue corridor.”

Hours are 8:30 am–5:00 pm Mon–Thu; 8:30 am–6:00 pm Fri and 9:00 am–noon on Sat.

A grand opening is planned Jan. 15–31.

Summit Credit Union, with 34 branches, is Wisconsin’s second largest credit union with $2.8 billion in assets.

Summit Credit Union recently broke ground for a six-story, 152,000 square foot corporate headquarters and campus in Cottage Grove, which will include a full-service branch, expected to open in summer 2019.
