SDCCU is the proud presenting sponsor of Cox Presents: A Salute to Teachers

San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®) is proud to celebrate San Diego’s finest educators as the presenting sponsor of the 30th Annual “Cox Presents: A Salute to Teachers” event. Held in collaboration with the San Diego County Office of Education and Cox® Communications, the awards show is a presentation of the 47th Annual San Diego County Teacher of the Year Awards. SDCCU has supported this event for the past 12 years.

“SDCCU is proud to support this outstanding awards event and celebrate the phenomenal work of teachers and educators making a difference in our community,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell. “Teachers are the main factor in shaping the future of today’s youth and we applaud each of the nominees for the work they do each day to give students the knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to succeed.”

The event will be held virtually this year and will take place on Saturday, November 21 at 7 p.m. (PT). The pre-recorded program will be televised on Cox’s YurView Network (Cox Channel 4/1004 and Spectrum Channel 4). The show will also live stream at Yurview.com/SalutetoTeachers. The television special will highlight the hard work and dedication of the county’s more than 26,000 public school teachers and celebrates the five 2020-2021 San Diego County Teachers of the Year:

  • Arah Allard, Del Mar Hills Elementary School, Del Mar Union School District
  • Christine Hill, Ramona High School, Ramona Unified School District
  • Jose Melo, Valley Center Middle School, Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District
  • Paula Richardson, Wilson Middle School, San Diego Unified School District

The five winners also represented the County of San Diego in the California Teacher of the Year program.
