InSPIREation Foundation awards financial education grants

The InSPIREation Foundation (IF) recently awarded a total of $20,000 to three organizations who provide financial literacy education, and tools to achieve financial freedom:

  • The FoolProof Foundation is an educational technology non-profit industry leader in providing free, accessible, online financial literacy that is unique from others. Their mission is to empower consumers with independent resources to make the right financial decisions for life.  The InSPIREation Foundation funding will allow them to expand their programming and impact within the St. Paul Public School System.
  • Minnesota Urban Debate League's mission is to empower students through competitive academic debate to become engaged learners, critical thinkers, and active global citizens who are effective advocates for themselves and their communities.  The IF funding will support their Financial Literacy Leadership Debate program which works to close the gender gap in the financial sector by building leadership and financial knowledge of Minnesota high school participants through debate.
  • Moneyweave Academy, Inc.'s purpose is to foster self-care for professional women through financial planning education that informs, engages, inspires confidence, and motivates purposeful action.  They will use the IF grant to develope their next twelve months of online classes, website tools, and podcasts, which will reach an anticipated 500 - 1,000 women.

The InSPIREation Foundation's mission is to fund meaningful financial literacy efforts that empower individuals and transform communities through knowledge, skills, and responsible decision making to attain financial freedom.

"Congratulations to our grant recipients," said Bob Groven, InSPIREation Foundation Chair, "We commend their work on the financial literacy front, and are excited to support their efforts and be part of these projects."
