Navigant Credit Union has announced the promotions of two leaders on its growing Residential Mortgage team, which was recently rated as Rhode Island’s #1 Mortgage Lender in the 2021 Providence Journal Readers’ Choice Awards.
Effective immediately, Timothy Flanagan will serve in the role as Vice President, Residential Mortgage, and Freddie Almeida will serve as Vice President, Residential Mortgage Origination Manager.
“Tim and Freddie have both played integral roles in growing our residential lending practice and providing our members with the exemplary service and expertise they expect from Navigant Credit Union,” said Navigant Credit Union President/CEO Gary E. In his new role, Flanagan will be responsible for the management, leadership, guidance and direction of the residential lending activities at Navigant Credit Union. Almeida will be responsible for managing and monitoring loan quality to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures, and for developing and implementing sales strategies that grow Navigant Credit Union’s business and exceed member expectations.
Flanagan joined Navigant Credit Union in early 2021 after serving as the general manager at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln. He earned his degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University. An active member of his community, he serves as a board member with Children’s Wishes of Rhode Island and the Evan Robertson Miller Scholarship Fund, and currently chairs the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Leaders Council.
A seasoned professional with more than two decades of residential real estate lending experience, Almeida specializes in home purchases, construction loans and refinancing and is an active member of the Rhode Island Mortgage Bankers Association. He has been ranked in the top 5 for Rhode Island’s top loan originators for production over the past 5 years.
