Wescom promotes Carina Hollis to Senior Vice President, General Counsel

Longtime Wescom employee to continue her work in legal affairs, Government relations and risk management

Wescom Credit Union, one of the nation’s largest credit unions based in Pasadena, Calif., has appointed Carina Hollis as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. In her role, Hollis is responsible for Legal Affairs, Government Relations, and Enterprise Risk Management.

Hollis joined Wescom Credit Union in 2014 in the Risk Management department and developed Wescom’s centralized Vendor Management Program. In 2017, she was promoted to Vice President, General Counsel where she formed Wescom’s Legal Affairs Department and became responsible for Government Relations.

Prior to joining Wescom, Carina practiced law at a boutique firm in Newport Beach, California for four and a half years where she routinely defended employers and individuals in civil, bankruptcy, probate, and labor matters.

Hollis was raised in Fresno, California where she attended California State University, Fresno and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in the Legal Environment of Business and a minor in Armenian Studies. Carina earned her Juris Doctorate, with Honors, from Western State University College of Law where she also obtained her Certificate in Business Law, with distinction, was the recipient of the Marsha Wilburn Memorial Award for Outstanding Woman Student and served as the Business Editor of the Law Review. While obtaining her Juris Doctorate, Carina also obtained her Master of Business Administration from Argosy University. Carina was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2009.

Hollis lives in Irvine, Calif. with her husband and two children. She is active in her local community and serves on her local Homeowner Association board, Parent Teacher Association board, and church Sunday School board.
