Tennessee Members 1st Federal Credit Union (TN Members 1st) is excited to announce the launch of their Commitment to Community Initiative. As a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), TN Members 1st works to invest in local communities and the residents who live there by providing critically needed financing often unavailable from mainstream financial institutions. The Commitment to Community Initiative focuses on partnering with local organizations to make a difference through charitable giving and support.
“We know that commitment to our community goes beyond the products and services we offer as a credit union and into how we truly show up for the areas we serve,” said Scott Blalock, Community Relations Coordinator at TN Members 1st. “We’re extremely thankful to our community partners for the opportunity to spread the greater credit union mission of ‘People Helping People’ outside of our branch walls.”
During their 75th Anniversary Celebration the week of October 25th, TN Members 1st presented their first Commitment to Community donation of $750 to The Free Medical Clinic and announced additional donations will be made to community partners leading up to their 75th Annual Meeting in March 2022.
