Associated Credit Union sponsored the 22nd annual Guitar Pull hosted by Kicks 99 on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at the James Brown Arena in Augusta. The fundraiser provides the largest single donation to the United Way of the Central Savannah River Area.
Associated Credit Union Augusta Division President Leah Eldridge said the not-for-profit organization started sponsoring the Kicks 99 Guitar Pull three years ago to help support community engagement and awareness.
“We feel honored to sponsor such a unique event that both unites and enriches the community,” said Eldridge. “We believe in people helping people and this annual fundraiser benefits several local nonprofits.”
The Kicks 99 Guitar Pull started as a small concert, bringing the best of Nashville to Augusta, with 400 attendees at the Sacred Heart Cultural Center in 1998. Since then, it has showcased more than 120 artists, such as Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts and Thomas Rhett. This year’s sold-out show at the James Brown Arena featured Clay Walker, Carly Pearce, Brothers Osborne, Darius Rucker, Scotty McCreery and Jon Pardi.

The Associated Credit Union Augusta Branch hosts one of four ticket stops for the Kicks 99 Guitar Pull, which provides the largest single donation to the United Way of the Central Savannah River Area. Associated Credit Union started sponsoring the event three years ago to help support community engagement and awareness.
