San Diego County Credit Union encourages the community to enjoy the upside of outside on Black Friday

DCCU supports Green Friday in partnership with the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation and Live Well San Diego

San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is proud to support Green Friday in partnership with the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation and Live Well San Diego. Green Friday, scheduled for November 26, encourages the community to swap Black Friday shopping for outdoor experiences throughout San Diego County.

Green Friday activities will be held both in-person and virtually this year and include games, fitness meet-ups, story trails and more. In-person outdoor activities will follow public health orders and require social distancing. All events are free, family-friendly, educational, encourage activity and are designed to celebrate enjoying nature or the ‘upside of outside’. For more information and a list of activities visit www.livewellsd.org.

“San Diego County offers some of the best beaches, parks and hiking in California,” said Teresa Campbell, SDCCU president and CEO. “We are happy to support the County of San Diego and Live Well San Diego and help spread the word about Green Friday, and we encourage members of the community to get outside and enjoy our beautiful city.”

The County Board of Supervisors launched Live Well San Diego in 2010 with the goal of achieving healthy, safe and thriving communities across the region by partnering with community and city leaders, schools, businesses, non-profit organizations and residents. SDCCU was the first financial institution to be designated a Live Well San Diego partner due to its many efforts to create a healthy, safe and thriving San Diego County.
