The Federal Reserve Bank of New York today announced that the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System has designated Dr. Rosa M. Gil chair of the New York Fed’s Board of Directors for 2022. Dr. Gil is the founder, president, and chief executive officer of Comunilife, Inc. She joined the New York Fed’s Board as a Class C director in January 2018 and has served as deputy chair since January 2019.
The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System also reappointed Vincent Alvarez a Class C director, effective January 1, 2022, and designated him as deputy chair of the New York Fed’s Board of Directors for 2022. Mr. Alvarez is president of the New York City Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO (NYCCLC). He joined the New York Fed’s Board as a Class C director in January 2019.
