Call for artists: AEA Federal Credit Union 80th Anniversary logo

In honor of AEA Federal Credit Union’s 80th anniversary, we announce a call for artists for the design and creation of the 80th Anniversary Celebration Logo.
AEA Federal Credit Union was founded in Yuma, Arizona in 1942 by seven local educators. We are proud to be the longest running local financial institution and want to reinforce our ‘localness’ with this anniversary logo.
To express our commitment to our local community, AEA is looking for an illustration or graphic collage that expresses or depicts our special culture, rich heritage, different landscapes, and friendly community in Yuma.
If chosen, the artist will be awarded $1,000 and art and artist’s name will appear in various marketing materials, releasing copyright to AEA Federal Credit Union to reproduce art in marketing collateral for as long as the organization needs. Any original art will be photographed and digitized for graphic reproduction and will be returned to the artist.
The call for entries is open to any artist/designer that resides in Yuma or La Paz Counties in Arizona and offers a $1,000 payment to the chosen artist(s). The deadline for submission of logo is February 28, 2022.

Submission Guidelines:
The chosen artist/designer will use the template below to fill in the ‘80’ with a design of their own. The design should reflect the artists interpretation of the AEA Brand and reflect our local community. For reference, AEA’s logo colors are listed below. Artists may or may not choose to integrate AEA’s Pantone brand colors dark blue PMS 2935, light blue PMS 306 and green PMS 389 into the illustration or design.
Please do NOT include the words “AEA” or use the AEA logo in your illustration or graphic. Illustration or graphic should be appropriate for all ages and not contain any disturbing images or themes. We’re looking for a beautiful and positive expression of Yuma that reflects the Credit Union’s love for our local community.
Any digital art should be minimum 300 dpi, at least 8 inches wide, RGB or CMYK, JPG or AI. $1,000 will be paid for the final logo(s). The chosen designer, upon final submission, gives full usage rights to AEA Federal Credit Union to use submitted artwork to promote the 80th anniversary as well as future projects to promote AEA Federal Credit Union.
Submissions are due by Friday, February 28, 2022.
