ValleyStar Credit Union‘s collections manager gets selected for Emerging Professionals Committee

ValleyStar Credit Union’s collections manager, Danielle Kennett, was selected to be a member of the Virginia Credit Union League’s (VACUL) Emerging Professionals Committee to attract, develop and retain top talent within Virginia’s credit unions.

The committee consists of 12 credit union professionals from across Virginia who strive to connect, empower and engage emerging professionals in the credit union industry. Members share a passion for the credit union industry and its member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative business model whose sole focus is on the financial well-being of its members.

“I’m honored to have been chosen by the League to join the Emerging Professionals Committee,” said Danielle Kennett, collections manager. “I have worked persistently over the last year to obtain my EMERGE Certification, which has helped me gain a deeper understanding of the credit union industry and build foundational knowledge related to leadership and communication.”

Danielle was notified of her selection within the halls of Congress at the GAC in Washington, D.C. Danielle’s new role will allow her to share her talent, skills and experiences with other professionals in the industry while bringing in new information that will help ValleyStar be the best in service and convenience.
