Advocacy in 2023 and beyond

The divided government in the next Congress presents unique opportunities for credit unions because we’ve spent years building up trust on both sides of the aisle. We represent the chance for bipartisan, pro-consumer compromise in a year when legislators will be looking to get things done to help constituents.

We’re going to work to:

  • Expand credit union powers and opportunities by supporting policies to allow easier access to credit union services, especially for underserved communities and small businesses.
  • Reduce regulatory barriers by advocating for rules and regulations that allow for more efficient delivery of financial services.
