CUNA engaged w/ Kraninger testimony, Wells Fargo hearings this week
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director Kathy Kraninger will appear before the Senate Banking Committee this week, one of her required semi-annual appearances. The House Financial Services Committee will also begin its series of hearings on Wells Fargo with two hearings this week.
Kraninger will testify before the Senate Banking Committee Tuesday starting at 10 a.m. (ET).
The Wells Fargo hearings come after the House Financial Services Committee conducted an investigation over the past year into Wells Fargo’s compliance with five regulatory orders issued in response to numerous practices that harmed consumers.
The “Holding Wells Fargo Accountable” hearings scheduled for this week are:
- Tuesday, 10 a.m., “CEO Perspectives on Next Steps for the Bank that Broke America’s Trust;” and
