2021 Royal Credit Union Postive Impact Awards announced

EAU CLAIRE, WI (November 9, 2021) — Royal Credit Union Digital Experience Manager, Matt Schewe and Royal Credit Union Multimedia Marketing Coordinator, Steve Dayton, were presented Royal Credit Union (Royal) 2021 Positive Impact Awards on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.  The Positive Impact Awards are Royal’s highest team member recognition, and are only presented if a team member is determined to have met the extremely high standards. All Royal team members are eligible to make nominations for the Positive Impact Awards, and the recipients are chosen by the executive team.

Leader Positive Impact Award – Matt Schewe

Schewe, a Royal team member since October 2018, met the high criteria for the Royal Leader Positive Impact Award due to his commitment to making a difference and stepping up to be Interim CEO at People’s Choice Credit Union (PCCU) in Medford, Wisconsin. This opportunity was presented with very short notice, but Schewe accepted without hesitation and served as a shining beacon of Royal’s Core Values as PCCU became Royal.  Schewe represented Royal and PCCU with the State Director of the Office of Credit Unions on a daily basis while also working to build community relationships and making the time to help Members balance their checkbooks. “Schewe did an amazing job at showcasing what was to come from Royal to the Medford community to PCCU’s membership,” said Royal President and CEO Brandon Riechers. “He truly left his mark and made a positive impact on the community in just 13 short weeks.”

Team Member Positive Impact Award – Steve Dayton

Dayton has been with Royal as a Multimedia Marketing Coordinator since October 2018 and was awarded the Team Members Positive Impact Award. Dayton exceeds the criteria for this award because of the work he has done to advance and elevate Royal’s brand through photography and videography. Dayton embodies Royal’s core values and core purpose, and is able to articulate that throughout his work day in and day out. Helping other departments be better at what they do through enhancing how they present their messages is how Dayton goes above and beyond his own assignments.  “It doesn’t matter if it’s a message to internal team members or a groundbreaking event,” said Royal President and CEO Brandon Riechers. “Dayton is always able to showcase the positive impact Royal is making in our communities, and to our Members and team members.”
