25 Miles in My Shoes Walk-A-Thon raises $30,000 for The Kids-N-Hope Foundation

Virtual event supports music therapy program at regional hospitals and not-for-profits

PHILADELPHIA, PA (April 21, 2021) — Kids-N-Hope Foundation (“The Foundation”) celebrates its 25th Anniversary in 2021, and recently raised $30,000 to kick off the fundraising year during its 25 Miles in My Shoes Walk-A-Thon. The 7-day virtual event, presented by First Platinum Abstract LLC., had participants walk 25 miles at their own pace while virtually fundraising throughout the event to continue supporting The Foundation’s beneficiaries.

Participants were able to create a team, join a team, or participate as an individual to fundraise and meet their personal goal and help The Foundation reach its goal for this event. All proceeds are benefitting the Kids-N-Hope Foundation and the programs it supports, specifically enhancing children’s health and life services through pediatric music therapy at local hospitals and not-for-profit organizations. The 25 miles each participant walked represents 25 years of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation’s existence.

“The 25 Miles in My Shoes Walk-A-Thon has shown that even though we cannot yet gather in person, our Foundation supporters continue to show their enthusiasm to participate time and time again,” stated Dorian Smith, Executive Director of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation. “Without the continual support of event participants, sponsors, and the community, The Kids-N-Hope Foundation would not be able to carry out its mission to positively impact child life services and provide creative outlets like music therapy to children undergoing medical treatment.”

Walk-A-Thon participant and Kids-N-Hope Board Member, Todd Kimball, reached his 25-mile goal by walking through a local park for the 25 Miles in My Shoes event.
