A CEOs challenge to her credit union staff

ALEXANDRIA, VA (May 4, 2015) — As NARFE Premier Federal Credit Union celebrates its 80th Anniversary, President and CEO, Marty Wye challenged credit union employees to write “Our Story” in 300 words or less. The most compelling entry would receive a $100 gift card. The stories Mrs. Wye received from her staff far exceeded her expectations. She ended up awarding one $100 gift card and five $50 gift cards. The stories were personal and unique! Here are highlights from some of the stories.

“I learned early on the names of our members and their personal stories, and I knew that I had to trade in my collections helmet for a member solutions bonnet. I have witnessed the power of team dynamics in this workplace to find the right loan product or solution to bring about a win-win. I believe in giving back to others, and I pledge to continue to play a role both on and off the job in expanding awareness about NARFE Premier.” – Rhonda Hall, Collections Specialist.

“There are so many options out there for people to choose from that we have to make the experience one they will never forget. Great rates and above all great service will keep them returning to the credit union.” – Patricia Irwin, Chief Operations Officer.

“We want what is best for our members, and we are able to put forth the information and the products we have available to current and potential members with honesty and integrity, and not under the influence of commissions. This allows our credit union to shine without the negative stigma a for-profit institution tends to acquire.” – Krista Kyte, Membership Development Specialist.

“I’ve heard countless success stories from members who have been able to payoff large debts or purchase their next vehicle at the lowest rate possible. I’m proud to know I was able to guide them in the right direction.” – Rico Mason, Consumer Loan Officer.

“We are able to assist members in a compassionate way on a daily basis, and I’m thankful to be a part of this experience. We are people helping people, and I truly believe in the credit union movement.” – Amy Montgomery, Home Equity and Consumer Loan Officer.

“I rarely have the opportunity to speak with our members; therefore, I’m not able to share our story or talk about any of the wonderful promotions that we offer, but if I had the opportunity, I would tell them about the wonderful family that we have here, the great products and services that we offer, and most importantly, how valuable they are as members of NARFE Premier Federal Credit Union.” – Alicia Murphy, Auditor.
