A+ Federal Credit Union Simplifies Gift Giving for Major Life Events

AUSTIN, TX (September 11, 2013) — A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) has introduced three new registry accounts to simplify gift giving for major life events. The online myGrad, myWedding and myBaby gift registries provide a convenient and secure way for friends and family to give monetary gifts to acknowledge someone’s special life event.

Since first introduced to brides-to-be by Marshall Field’s Chicago Department Store in 1924, gift registries have evolved. Today, it’s not uncommon for couples to sign-up for multi-purpose registries allowing them to select items from multiple retailers or for honeymoons registries.

A+FCU’s registries go a step further by giving registrants the opportunity to receive monetary gifts to use as needed, whether it’s to furnish a nursery, pay for a honeymoon or save for college expenses.

For gift givers, the convenient, online registries take the guess work out of selecting gifts. Plus, both debit and credit cards are accepted.

“These unique products allow us to better serve our members and ensure that we are providing them with relevant financial solutions throughout their lives,” said Kerry A. S. Parker, A+FCU CEO.

A+FCU also provides members with focused, financial education worksheets and resources for each life event.

A+ Federal Credit Union has 17 Austin area locations, over $1 Billion in assets, and more than 108,000 members that include not only educators, students, and their families, but other members of the community as well.  To find out more, visit the website at aplusfcu.org.
