Abound Credit Union’s Dick Ardisson inducted into Hall of Honor

Abound Credit Union’s long-time volunteer and current Board Vice Chair, Dick Ardisson, was inducted into the Hall of Honor on August 12, 2021 by the Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) for his work in supporting credit unions and the military community.

Since 2000, the DCUC’s Hall of Honor Recognition Task Force has inducted exemplary defense credit union leaders each year. Dick’s tireless commitment to the DCUC, Abound Credit Union and the communities it serves made him one of the selection committee’s top choices for 2020 with in-person recognition during DCUC’s 2021 annual meeting.

“We are proud of Dick’s service to the credit union and our military community. His leadership in the Fort Knox Chapters of the Military Officers Association of America and the Association of the United States Army, along with his service to so many other local organizations, speaks volumes about his dedication to strengthening the communities we serve,” says Ray Springsteen, President & CEO of Abound Credit Union.

Dick Ardisson has been a member of Abound Credit Union, formerly known as Fort Knox Federal Credit Union, since 1975 and has served as a credit union volunteer since 1998. He is a Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with more than 23 years of service and a Retired Defense contractor/Site Manager with 18 years of service. Dick has pursued higher education in both civilian and military capacities, earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting/Economics from Marshall University, Master of Professional Studies in Public Administration from WKU, Certified Army Material Acquisition Manager designation, and completing an Army Military Comptroller Course.

Specific to the credit union industry, Dick is a Certified Credit Union Director from the Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto and Credit Union Executive Society (CUES).
