AEA Federal Credit Union Staff Donates to Jessie’s Closet
YUMA, AZ (February 17, 2022) — AEA Federal Credit Union recently presented a check for $3,925 to Jessie’s Closet. Donated funds were raised through the Employee Jean’s Giver Program during fourth quarter, 2021.
AEA employees participate in the Jeans Giver Program all year long and donate either $5 or $10 from their paychecks to wear jeans. Each quarter, the funds raised are given to a charity selected by employees. Since its start in 2016, the AEA Employee Jeans Giver Program has raised over $66,000 for local non-profits.
“Jessie’s Closet is doing wonderful things to support Yuma’s foster children and families,” said Adele Sandberg, AEA President and CEO. “Their welcoming environment helps give foster children a sense of normalcy in an unsure situation.”
Jessie’s Closet Foster Child Resource Center is a children’s boutique designed just for foster children and the families that support them. Foster children shop the store, where every item is only $1 and is or looks new. Jessie’s closet is funded through generous donations and by sales from the Jessie’s Treasures Secondhand Store.
