ST. PETERSBURG, FL (February 18, 2014) —  The Armed Forces Financial Network (AFFN) and Board Chairman John M. Mitchell are pleased to announce the appointment of John M. Broda as President and Chief Executive Officer at the Network.

Broda assumes the role and responsibilities from retiring Chief Executive Officer David Weber, who served AFFN for more than 30 years. Broda joined AFFN in 2000 and has served as the Executive Vice President and COO for the last nine years.

“Mr. Broda’s superior leadership skills, his deep experience in electronic payments, and his dedication to supporting our nation’s military service members through AMBA bank and DCUC credit union participants make him the ideal person for this important role,” says Chairman Mitchell. “John is a consummate professional and is deeply committed to providing the very best in financial services and products to our AFFN participant financial institutions, as well as the military and civilian consumers served by AMBA banks and DCUC credit unions.”
