Alliance Credit Union President & CEO Eileen Lewis to retire

Executive Vice President & Cfo Brian Dorcy To Assume Post CEO Eileen Lewis retires on December 31, 2014 after 39 years with the credit union. Brian Dorcy becomes president and chief executive officer effective January 1, 2015.  

SAN JOSE, CA (OCTOBER 29, 2014) – Eileen Lewis, president and chief executive of $350 million Alliance Credit Union will retire in December after 39 years with the credit union. She will be succeeded effective January 1, 2015 by Brian Dorcy, the current executive vice president and CFO, Board of Directors Chairperson Surya Turaga announced today. Headquartered in San Jose, California, Alliance Credit Union serves nearly 40,000 members in California and North Carolina.

Eileen Lewis joined the credit union as a teller in 1975, holding several management and executive positions before becoming president and chief executive in 2002. Under her leadership, the credit union has seen consistent and strategic growth, achieved many milestones and introduced products and services ranging from the first checking accounts to mobile banking. Eileen Lewis is well-respected for her knowledge and experience within Alliance, in the communities it serves and in the credit union industry.

Brian Dorcy has more than 30 years of financial experience including 23 years of executive leadership in the credit union industry. He joined Alliance as executive vice president and CFO in 2010. At Alliance, he leads the credit union’s strategic planning process, chairs key committees, and manages all financial, lending and technology areas as well as the credit union’s investment portfolio. Known as a visionary leader, Brian Dorcy’s extensive knowledge of the credit union’s marketplace and the industry are credited as instrumental in the credit union’s successes in recent years. “Brian Dorcy has the full confidence of the Alliance Board of Directors in moving the credit union forward, with continued dedication to developing products and services to meet the membership’s evolving needs,” said Turaga.
