Event features more than 400,000 lights and two 40-foot trees; kickoff event to feature fireworks, Tuskegee Airmen Ceremony, Kids-N-Hope Foundation donations, and free holiday music

PHILADELPHIA, PA (November 2, 2021) — Nothing shines like American Heritage Credit Union (American Heritage) during the holiday season. American Heritage invites the community to visit the American Heritage main campus at 2060 Red Lion Road in Northeast Philadelphia to enjoy more than 400,000 lights and holiday displays.

Each year, the American Heritage campus buildings and trees are illuminated, and multiple light displays are featured throughout the campus grounds. Community members are welcome to stroll the campus, take photos and enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season.  The Grand Illumination celebration kicks off with a special event on the evening of November 27th at 7:00 p.m.

Free Month-Long Grand Illumination

Our Grand Illumination features more than 400,000 lights, two 40-foot illuminated trees, and hundreds of illuminated wreaths and decorations.  Anyone from the community can visit the American Heritage campus between November 27th until New Year’s Day and stroll our campus for free, enjoy the decorations, and take family photos. Members of the public can also remain in their car and drive around our campus and enjoy the lights as well.

You can enter through our Red Lion Road or Jamison Road entrances. Free parking is available on site and our lights will shine daily beginning at dusk each night on November 28th.

Grand Illumination Kick-Off

The free 14th Annual Grand Illumination kickoff event supports the Kids-N-Hope Foundation and will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 7:00pm. Immediately following the illumination, a firework symphony will fill the night sky.  At the Grand Illumination, families can also enjoy the sounds of the holiday season with a concert featuring the Philadelphia Boys Choir and the New Jersey Fifes and Drums. Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross will be on hand to lend a colonial flavor to the evening’s events. At the event, the Kids-N-Hope Foundation will present a donation to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen will be honored as well.  In the spirit of giving, attendees are encouraged to bring a canned food item to help American Heritage reach its food drive goal of 20,000 pounds donated to Philabundance.

“Grand Illumination has been a long-standing tradition here in our community, and each year we look forward to the joy it brings to families in the Philadelphia area, and the fundraising opportunity it presents for the Kids-N-Hope Foundation,” stated Bruce K. Foulke, President & CEO of American Heritage Credit Union and Chairman of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation.
