Arts Every Day will host its second annual 10 x 10 exhibit, sponsored by Point Breeze Credit Union, from January 8 – February 23, 2018. The exhibit provides a unique platform for over 100 Baltimore City school students and teachers to create artwork that celebrates family heritage, culture and identity.
As a part of the exhibit, students and teachers designed 10 inch by 10 inch art pieces inspired by painter Jacob Lawrence and story quilter Joan Gaither, whose works are currently on display at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum.
Arts Every Day is a non-profit organization that serves to strengthen learning by making arts education and cultural experiences an integral part of classroom instruction for students in Baltimore. Arts Every Day has provided over $180,000 in funding and professional development support to 40 Baltimore City Public Schools. This funding supports over 250 arts programs and impacts over 21,000 students and 1,500 educators.
An exhibit reception will take place on January 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Motor House.
