Associated Credit Union brings mobile mammogram truck to main office for employees

ATLANTA, GA (October 7, 2019) — Associated Credit Union (ACU) kicked off October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a mobile mammogram truck from Quantum Radiology at their main office location on October 7, 2019. Employees and employees’ families were able to set up appointment times to get checked in the mammogram-mobile. Twenty employees and family members of employees signed up to participate and be screened at no cost.

Women should begin receiving annual screenings at the age of 40, and annual mammograms can help detect cancer early.

“We know it can be difficult to schedule the time to go to the doctor’s office and get a yearly mammogram,” said Jill Johnson, ACU Human Resources. “We wanted a solution that would make it simple for employees and their families to make their health and wellness a priority.”

With early detection, mammograms can help prevent the need for extensive treatment for advanced cancer. This is the third time ACU has brought the mobile mammogram to the office, and will continue to do so moving forward.
