Atlantic Financial FCU’s participates in St. Vincent villa’s “season of wonder”

HUNT VALLEY, MD (January 3, 2014) — The employees of Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union (AFFCU) held a collection for St. Vincent’s Villa “Season of Wonder” program to make the holiday season more enjoyable for the children.

Employees donated various toys and activities including board games, dolls, sporting equipment, matchbox cars to coloring books for the children, filling three boxes in record time. The collection was well received at Santa’s Landing at St. Vincent’s Villa Timonium location, a therapeutic residential facility for the treatment of children aged 6-14 with behavioral and emotional difficulties.

For more than a decade, AFFCU has contributed to holiday programs such as “Season of Wonder” with the organization among other events with Catholic Charities, but employees are always eager to support the children during the holiday season.

“It brings a smile to my face, knowing the children will get the chance to just be kids. It is our pleasure to continue to support this program and make the holidays a special time of year for families in our community,” said Ellie Meyd, Vice President of Marketing/Lending.

AFFCU has served the financial needs of St. Vincent’s Villa and Catholic Charities of Baltimore employees and volunteers, closely understanding the difficulties organizations working with children and families face during the holiday season.
