Aventa Credit Union supports Waldo Waldo 5K
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (January 13, 2015) – On October 26, 2014, Aventa Credit Union sponsored and took part in the Waldo Waldo 5K. As part of the sponsorship, Aventa had a booth at the event where participants learned about Aventa Credit Union, spun the wheel for prizes, played a guessing game and received other free goodies. Twenty-two Aventa associates, dressed up as Waldos and Wendas, also participated in the 5K.
The Waldo Waldo 5K raises money for local community needs, especially supporting natural disaster and fire recovery efforts, outdoor activities and trails and open space maintenance in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. “This event is a perfect fit for us. We serve the Colorado Springs Fire Department and since they were essential in fighting the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest fires, this event gave us the opportunity to give back and help preserve the land they helped fight for, “said Karin Kovalovsky, Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications.
