Credit Union to use BlueStripe with System Center for Azure Hybrid Cloud Applications
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC (June 16, 2014) -- BlueStripe Software announced today that BCU has selected BlueStripe’s FactFinder software to manage the performance and availability of their online banking and e-commerce applications, which run in Microsoft Azure hybrid-cloud.
BCU’s online banking and e-commerce applications run in a hybrid infrastructure using cloud instances of Microsoft IIS and SQL Server, with core banking functions running on AIX systems. As one of the nation’s top 100 credit unions, BCU recognizes the value of their applications when servicing their 187,000+ members in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
To improve the performance and reliability of their key customer-facing applications, BCU will deploy BlueStripe’s FactFinder application and transaction monitoring software in tandem with Microsoft’s System Center suite. The combined solution will provide BCU with complete end-to-end transaction, application, and infrastructure visibility for all their distributed applications.
“It’s important to maintain control over application performance, even as we expand our use of Azure hybrid cloud platforms,” said Jeff Johnson, Chief Information Officer of BCU. “The combination of BlueStripe FactFinder with System Center gives us the complete view of application performance across the entire architecture that is critical to achieving service level goals.”
FactFinder automatically discovers, maps, and monitors all business transactions running within the data center and across the Cloud. FactFinder measures performance, hop-by-hop, everywhere that transactions go, across tiers, across platforms, and across architectures – even into virtual machines, public, private, and hybrid cloud, as well as third party services. When performance or availability problems occur, FactFinder follows the slow or hung transaction right to the problem component, and then drills down the server stack to determine why the problem occurred.
For Microsoft System Center users, FactFinder delivers dynamic distributed application maps and performance alerts directly into the System Center Operations Manager console. FactFinder monitors all the components that make up distributed applications, including physical, virtual, and Azure-based components. With System Center and BlueStripe FactFinder together, users have complete end-to-end monitoring and management of infrastructure, applications, and the delivery of business services.
“We’re thrilled that BCU chose BlueStripe and System Center together to manage their mission critical applications, both in the data center and Azure” said Chris Neal, BlueStripe co-founder and CEO. “With more companies expanding their use of Azure Hybrid Cloud environments, it’s important to see and monitor the end-to-end transactions no matter where they go.”
