Belvoir Federal Implements New Technology for Employees

Woodbridge, VA, January 2, 2013 – Belvoir Federal Credit Union implemented a new technology called DigitalPersona, a biometrics fingerprint authentication system, for their employees mid-December 2012.

DigitalPersona offers state-of-the-art Software Development Kits (SDKs) that are used globally to add fingerprint authentication to commercial applications. The fingerprint reader makes biometrics straightforward and reliable. DigitalPersona solutions are used worldwide to prevent fraud, simplify compliance, and speed logon.

“Through the implementation of DigitalPersona, we have found that it has significantly enhanced security, reduced tech support calls, and increased efficacies for employee’s companywide. We are always looking for ways to help the employees serve members more efficiently,” stated George Ksenics, Belvoir Federal’s Director of Information Technology.

The new technology was well received by employees. The Contact Center department stated that this device helped in moving between systems more quickly, which in turn helped assist members more effectively.

DigitalPersona, founded in 1996, is a global provider of strong authentication and access management solutions that close the gap between people and security for enterprises, government agencies, and commercial embedded-solution developers.
