Best Innovation Group goes ‘Five for FIVE’
Desert Financial Credit Union is the fifth financial institution to go live with BIG’s FIVE voice banking platform – fully certified voice banking solution
TAMPA, FL (June 25, 2019) — Best Innovation Group (BIG), a technology and financial services innovator, announced that Desert Financial Credit Union has gone live with BIG’s FIVE Voice Banking Platform, enabling voice-activated banking services across Amazon Alexa apps and devices for Desert Financial’s more than 330,000 members.
Desert Financial is the fifth credit union to receive Amazon certification for their FIVE solution, empowering members to perform dozens of financial interactions through any Alexa-enabled device. Importantly, these interactions are transactional, as opposed to merely informational, creating true voice-first banking engagement.
“Our new three-year strategic plan includes a digital transformation pillar,” explained Desert Financial Executive Vice President Ron Amstutz. “We think AI (artificial intelligence-driven) banking is a natural, because it gives our members more access to Desert Financial from their homes, which is how many of them want to interact with us.”
The FIVE solution is totally configurable using BIG’s platform, which provides a unique look and feel tailored to Desert Financial’s brand. The Desert Financial Alexa skill is built with ease of use in mind, including PIN-protected security and a straightforward user experience, allowing members to simply launch the skill and go.

FIVE currently integrates with three core and online banking platforms, including the Corelation Keystone core used by Desert Financial. Desert is the first Keystone client to go live with the FIVE voice banking platform. Twenty additional clients, using a variety of core and online banking systems, are in various stages of implementation with BIG’s solution.
